You came into my life like a breath of fresh air. I was scared when I learned you were growing inside me; afraid that I wouldn’t be able to take care of you, love you, be there for you when you needed me. But as you grew and I felt you moving inside my tummy, my love for you grew as well. You became the whole center of my universe, because I knew you would be the last. You were going to be my little midget man.
When exactly do little boys transition to wanting to become men?
My son, Jonathan, who is only 9 years old said to me today, “I want to be a man and not a wimpy boy.”
I’ve spent the better part of the day reading blogs online and thinking. A dangerous combination for me. I had free time with the Man Thing out of the house and the demon babies bothering some other poor mom upstairs for two hours.
I was reading Attack of the Redneck Mommy and just getting a huge chuckle out of her posts when I came across her blog about her son passing away. And then another family’s blog about their daughter passing away. And I got to thinking about my mom.
I received this from a friend, and apparently, once you’ve been tagged you have to tag 5 other awesome moms in return. So I am tagging the following moms and mom bloggers to pass it on (I picked six, sue me):
Last night, as my boys were horsing around while I fixed dinner, I asked them very sweetly, three times, to stop before one of them got hurt. I know boys will be boys but they tend to carry the horseplay to extremes until somebody ends up crying and hurt.
I finally got them settled down and at the table for dinner and came back into the bedroom to finish folding some laundry. From the kitchen I heard muffled giggles and words – as if my super mom radar wouldn’t be able to pick it up.
HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHO TO MARRY? (written by kids)
You got to find somebody who likes the same stuff. Like, if you like sports, she should like it that you like sports, and she should keep the chips and dip coming.

About two weeks ago The Demon Child took a spill off his bike and thought he was going to just die. So today, he got the chance to try his hand on a scooter. Naturally he had to start off going up and down a bunch of hills and yep, you guessed it, he lost his balance and rolled. He skinned up the palm of his hand and took a chunk of skin out of his hand.
